"Leaders on Leadership" Taping - Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association

Attend a taping of  the "Leaders on Leadership" television series, co-produced by WSU School of Business Administration and Detroit Public Television (WTVS 56).

On Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 1:30 pm, we'll tape an episode with Nancy Brown - CEO  of the American Heart Association.

Although a nonprofit organization, their $700 million annual budget is a formidable force in the fight against heart disease and stroke (both among the nation's top killers), and other cardiovascular illnesses. In addition to conducting research, the association serves as a clearinghouse for information on heart-related diseases and conditions and acts as an advocate on public policy issues related to its mission.

Can very successful leadership careers be found someplace other than the traditional corporate sector....YES! Come to the taping and meet a perfect example.

Besides being part of the studio audience and learning about a full scale television production, students also have opportunity to submit leadership questions they would like to directly ask the guest for potential use on-air. There is also a not-for-broadcast discussion between the guest and the studio audience immediately following the taping.

Students MUST PRE-REGISTER to attend the taping.  A confirmation email will be sent soon after registration is received.

The registration site also includes space for  submitting the questions you wish to ask the guest. The selected questions will be announced at the studio before taping begins.

Students must arrive at the  studio 20-30 minutes in advance of taping.

Dress for the tapings is "smart casual" up through normal business attire. You WILL be seen on television and have to sign a simple release form at the studio.

Total time commitment at the studio is 90-100 minutes.

When broadcast, the program will be seen in Michigan, Oklahoma, coast-to-coast in selected Canadian markets, as well as parts of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea.  The program is broadcast locally on Sunday at 1:00 pm and repeated on Wednesday at 5:30 pm. After being broadcast, it will be available, on line, at www.dptv.org.
